  • Company Introduction

Aviation Instrument Technologies Incorporated (AITI), specializes in the design, development, and production of custom electronics for aircraft and automotive sectors. AITI was formed from the amalgamation of three companies, and their technologies, and thus is born with a rich history of experience and credentials. AITIs long term goal is to bring about high-performance real-time 3-D graphics and other display technologies into the automotive dashboard and aviation cockpit. AITI was formed in May of 1997 from AMDA Aviation, a real-time simulation company which developed real-time graphics and audio applications for the aerospace and defense community. AMDA Aviation also had the Southeastern United States distributorship for Paradigm Simulations visual and audio simulation software products. In June of 1997, AMDA Aviation purchased the on-going business of Angell Aircraft Instruments, of St. George, UT. The two entities became Aviation Instrument Technologies Inc. (AITI). Angell Aircraft Instruments had been overhauling and repairing aircraft instruments since 1970. They had served general aviation and Part 135 and Part 121 operations. In August of 1997, AITI acquired the operation of Contraves Inc. Contraves designed and built simulated aircraft instruments. With that acquisition came vast amounts of technical expertise, technical data, spare parts, and engineering drawings on more than a thousand simulated instruments. AITI also acquired their test equipment.AITIs facility includes over 15,000 square feet of engineering, production, R & D laboratory, hangar and office space. Our combined staff has many years of experience in designing, building, and repairing simulated aircraft instruments. Our customers today are both private and commercial aviation and the aviation simulation industry.
