Callidai Motor Works is the largest Indian manufacturer of Powered and Special Wheelchairs. Our equipment is meant to aid the needs of patients with diverse needs arising from ailments & medical conditions such as Polio, Amputation, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis, Spinal injuries , Cerebral Palsy and old age.We have delivered over 2500 Powered Wheelchairs and several Hundred Customised Mobility Equipment for Any / All Activities of Daily Living. The Products are as diverse as Swimming Pool Lifts, Wheelchair Lifts, Staircase Lifts, Patient Hoists, Wheelchair Systems for Cars, Vans, Bus and Trains, Motorised Fowler Beds, Standup Wheelchairs, Remote Control based Environment Control System for Wheelchair Users, Ground Mobility Devices, Wheelchair Stowing System for Cars etc...... The Powered Wheelchair in Diferent forms continues to be our Main Product.Starting our operations with developing Battery powered bicycles, we concentrated our focus on addressing the mobility needs of the differently-abled. With a market saturated with sub-standard equipment, we identified a growing need for creating mobility devices that synthesized the best in ergonomic design and electrical & electronic aspects of wheelchairs and tricycles.Our commitment to the cause of the differently-abled is not limited to the mere provision of mobility aids. Our organisation is a physically challenged majority organisation, employing over 50% physically challenged workforce in the shop floor, administration and marketing. We also offer technical training to physically challenged persons and provide business oppurtunities to wheelchair bound persons/ or their family members to represent our business in different cities in India.Our expertise in motorized equipment can be traced to the legacy of Mr. K.
