Company Introduction
Fundatia - Prod S.R.L. company was founded and operates in Republic of Moldova since 1998. The enterprise has 40 employees which regularly held informational and educational trainings. The company is located in its own grounds of more than 1000 sq.m.The company has three types of activities: pasta production, production and packaging of bulk goods - cereal, walnuts cultivation and production.In 2008 the company Fundatia - Prod has decided to create an agricultural unit directed to planting and growing of walnuts plantations.Junglas Regia is the most frequently used nut type, thus it is useful from all points of view. Walnut it&＃39;s an ecological tree and indispensable in soil erosion. At the same time, all its parts can be used, which is advantageous and make the production virtually waste - free.According the plans at the same year were purchased 500 ha of land.On 393 ha of land were planted 2 walnuts plantations. The chronology of planting:- 120 ha were planted in 2009,- 46 ha were planted in 2010 ,- 170 ha were planted in 2011,- 57 ha were planted in 2012.The rest of the land was occupied by cereals and legumes.For soil labors and plantation maintenance the company had purchased 6 tractors, an excavator, bulldozer, several tractor - trailers, agricultural equipment.Were planted 8 moldoval varieties. Namely: Costiujeni, Schinoasa, Chisinau, Calarasi, De Falesti, Pescianii, Cazacu, Cogilnicianu (details on Products section).After planting the plantations, in 2014 the company decided, with the assistance of EBRD, to implement the development program through European specialists consultation. The purpose of the program is to bring the plantation to the level of commercial crops and obtain the high quality nuts, corresponding to Euro standards.To fulfil the program, the company implementing new technologies for maintenance, plant protection, combating diseases and insects. Harvesting and industrial cleaning, sorting, drying, calibration and packing of nuts will be performed through modern equipment.Despite all the positive results achieved already, the company specialists are working every day to improve nuts quality and the unit in general.
