Company Introduction
Tower Farms is a family owned and run dairy located at Lydeard St Lawrence, nestled between the Quantock and Brendon Hills, near Taunton, Somerset. Peter and Philip White manage over 600 milking cows between them whilst Geoff White oversees day to day operations at the cheese dairy.Tower Farms is named after Willett Tower which overlooks the farms and dairy and was built in 1782 by the local gentry.We started in 1973 by making cheddar cheese in the traditional farmhouse style using milk from the family farms. Since then Tower Farms has expanded to process the milk from these and nine other local dairy herds. The product range has also been developed to include butter, double and clotted cream. Our Award Winning cheddar cheeses are hand made using locally sourced milk and vegetarian rennet. They are matured in our stores for between 4 and 24 months depending on the strength and flavour required.We pride ourselves on our ability to produce cheeses that are consistently of very high quality and flavour.Our new trade catalogue will introduce you to our range of cheddars, cream, butter and other excellent West Country cheeses of distinction. We now also offer a fine range of Trucklements to compliment the cheeses.
