Danwake is an indigenous staple food of the Northern parts of Nigeria. It is a thick paste made from a mixture of cassava, cowpea (beans), sorghum, baobab leaves (kuka) and potash. Its consumption is widespread and is enjoyed by majority of the people.The production of Danwake is considered as combursome and this limits the consumption of the delicacy. This problem however has been solved by Convenient Home Foods and Beverages Ltd by the production of Packaged 1 x 10kg Flour for instant consumption.The company was registered with CAC as a Limited Liability Company on 15th November, 2006 with Registration N0. RC 673049 while the product was registred with NAFDAC with registration N0. A1-1659 and also registred with other regulatory bodies. It is currently working with Standard Organisation of Nigeria(SON) to come up with a standard for the product being the first of its kind in the country and the world over.The company's product is currently found in most Northern States of Nigeria and some other African countries like Niger, Cote de voire, Mali, e.t.c.
