    In 1982, the company was established as Handok Corporation, marine equipment trading agency in Donggwang-Dong, Jung-Gu, Busan, Korea and imported shipbuilding equipment for domestic shipbuilding company as an agency. After the company acquired approval from the minister of finance for foreign investment company with Hamburg, German based DAEMMSTOFF INDUSTRIE GMBH, HAMBURG in 1984, Daemmstoff corporation Korea, foreign investment company was established at 495, Jangrim2-Dong, Saha-Gu, Busan in June 1, 1984 and was moved with the expansion to 1506-1, Dadae-Dong, Saha-Gu, Busan, Korea in June 12, 2002. The company gained the import substitutioneffect by providing domestic/international shipbuilding company with main product, KVM SEALING COMPOUND(fire-resistant sealing material). In 1992, the company was changed from foreign investment company to a domestic corporation and succeeded to German foreign investment ratio, technology and brand name, KVM.. In 1994, the company concluded a research contract with Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials for localized shipbuilding equipment(item name is DURASIN, CHOCKING COMPOUND) development, finished a trial test and acquired a type approval from the ship&＃39;s classification society of each country. As this product is providing to domestic shipbuilding company and the installation of an ashore machine.
