Company Introduction
Chukyo University, founded in 1954, marked its 50th anniversary in 2004. Since the beginning we have always endeavored to anticipate change and make improvements necessary to meet it. These efforts have enabled us to develop into one of the largest private universities in Japan, with 11 undergraduate schools in liberal arts and science, 12 graduate schools, and the College of Liberal Arts. As part of our undergraduate programs, we established the School of World Englishes in 2002 and the School of Life System Science and Technology in 2004. We reorganized our long-standing School of Commerce into the School of Business and Public Policies in 2005. Furthermore, in 2006, the School of Information Science and Technology was reorganized from the School of Computer and Cognitive Science. In the year of 2007, the School of Contemporary Sociology was reorganized from the School of Sociology. And this year of 2008, the latest School of International Liberal Studies has just begunAll of these efforts represent the spirit of Chukyo University in promoting change and innovation. Meanwhile, our doctoral programs have also undergone reform: the Graduate School of Psychology, the Correspondence Graduate School of Computer and Cognitive Sciences, the Graduate School of Business Innovation and the Law School were added during the past several years. Also in 2006, the Graduate School of World Englishes was established.Chukyo University became the first institution in this region to launch an open college for working adults in 1995, making the campus available for lifelong learning and bringing us public recognition as the model of an "open university".We hope you will enjoy witnessing our university&＃39;s continued adaptation and progress to quickly respond to the needs of the times and society.
