Thedifferent geographical regions of Namibia, each has its owncharacter and each offer tourist a unique experience unrivalledanywhere else in Africa, if not the world.The Namibian landscape consists generally of five geographicalareas, each with characteristic abiotic conditions and vegetationwith some variation within and overlap between them: the CentralPlateau, the Namib Desert, the Escarpment, the Bushveld, and theKalahari Desert. Although the climate is generally extremely dry,there are a few exceptions. The cold, north-flowing Benguelacurrent accounts for some of the low precipitation.
