Shakuhachi evolved from fashion designer, JessieWhites strong desire to create product that was instinctive and areflection of her innate sense of style.Having eschewed formal fashion training, Jessie Whites career as adesigner was born out of her instinct, necessity, and a strongdesire to create. White has ensured that the Shakuhachi label isconsistently inspiring to loyal followers and newcomers alike.Shakuhachi made a solo runway debut at Rosemount Australian FashionWeek. The spring/summer 2007/08 collection titled My Life In Pink,presented a fresh and youthful collection of sporty, utilitarianshapes that was impressively mature and highly polished. RecentShakuhachi collections have seen the label mature, its primaryfocus being beautifully refined silk dresses, leather goods, cleverdetailing, tailoring, distinctive prints and accessories.
