Company Introduction
Aydin Orme Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S.&＃39; foundation was laid by Mr. Turgut Aydin with a small shop in Sultanhamam in early 1970. The Istanbul Sarigazi Production Plant in Istanbul was established in 1991. The curtains and other home textile products that had been marketed in Sultanhamam for years were started to be manufactured at Aydin Orme&＃39;s production plant as from 1991. Having adopted an export-oriented marketing policy, the Company grew and improved through a series of investments. In addition to the Istanbul Sarigazi Production Plant, which manufactures voile curtains, curtain fabrics, tergal, elastic laces, jerseys and polyesther yarns, another plant was established in Akyazi/Adapazari which is engaged in dyeing, finishing, and production of ready-to-wear clothing and embroidery-guipure. Thus, Aydin Orme became a fully-integrated company. The Company which built a 55.000 m2 production plant in Sarigazi and an 80.000 m2 production plant in Akyazi, which amounts to 135.000 m2 in total, creating added-value for Turkey&＃39;s economy, employs 1.428 individuals. With its Furnishings group covering woven and knitted products and Elastic Products group covering lace and jersey products, Aydin Orme manufactures 3.500 tons of yarn, 28.5 million m2 of voile curtain, 18 million m2 of plain and jacquared curtain, 15 million m2 of elastic lace in 15-cm band form and 3.2 million m2 of jersey as of 2006 and exports 75% of its products in general. The The Istanbul Chamber of Industry ranked the company 270th in 2003 and 300th in 2004 among Turkey&＃39;s largest industrial companies. In 2005, the company ranked 350th in general category and 339th in the category of private companies and this demonstrates Aydin Orme&＃39;s stabilized growth. Aydin Orme markets and sells its products under the brand names Lila and Perfiore via National Curtains in New York, Lila Deco in Belgium and Lila BV in Holland.
