Ballande New Zealand was established as a trading company in 1956 and exports a wide range of food products mainly from New Zealand but also from Australia, USA, South America, Europe and Asia. The company is part of the Ballande Group which was established in 1838 and employs around 860 staff throughout France, Australasia and the Pacific and has a turnover of over 350 million Euros. The Ballande Group business interests include nickel mining, cattle farming and commerce activities, including retail and wholesale in the Asia-Pacific region, vineyards and wine trading in France and Australia and shipping activities in New Caledonia.
