Alberio S.p.A. workswithin the scope of the Collection,Transport and Processing of Animal By-products (ABP) forthe production of AnimalFats andProcessed Animals Protein(internationally knownas "rendering") and inthe activity of collectionand recovery of UsedCooking Oils (UCO). The business activity began after Second World War under craft shaped thanks to brothers Antonio and Vittorio Alberio, who had established its headquarters in Rovello Porro(CO). To cope with its growth in size, during the 70s the activity was moved to the current location in Cirimido, where the company has accompanied its development with continuous investments in technologies related to both the production cycle and the environment impact, up to the current layout. During the 90s the acquisition of Valugani s.r.l. (processing plant operating in the north of Varese, now used as a Storage Plant) and of the company Crespi s.r.l. (Animal Bloodprocessing plant operating in the north of Milan) contributed to the consolidation of the company. During the 2000s the close collaboration with Imar s.r.l. (Category 1 processing plant) and Cotrans s.r.l. (transport company of goods), which belong to the same group of Alberio S.p.A., allowed to offer its suppliers and customers a more complete and higher quality service. The historical development of Alberio S.p.A. has gone hand in hand with the evolution of both health and environmental regulations, which have imposed strict requirements regarding both the plant engineering and in the management system and which have channeled corporate investments in order to take advantage from regulatory compliance as a competitive advantage in relations with customers, suppliers and regulators. Thanks to the plant engineering and commercial growth operated in more than 60 years of history, today Alberio S.p.A. employs more than 50 employees, boasts suppliers of animalby-products throughout all the European Union and provides Animal Fats and Processed Animal Protein to the most important european feed and oil-lipo-chimicals companies.
