Company Introduction
The history of CALZATURIFICIO MARITAN starts in 1995 when Mr. Giancarlo Maritan, supported by his son Gabriele, decides to put his long tecnhical and commercial experience in a shoe family business. Giancarlo Maritan, managing director of CALZATURIFICIO MARITAN, was born and grew up in the Brenta region, which is a renowned place for the production of shoes; it is here that he learnt the art of studying, designing and producing shoes.In the Seventies he moved to Verona, and after having improved his skills for more than 20 years as Marketing Director in a famous Shoe Factory in the area, he decided to embark on his personal adventure. He chose the industrial area of Villafranca as location for the Italian headquarters and in the years to follow he established a new factory in Romania to keep pace with the requests of the market. Since then, CALZATURIFICIO MARITAN has constantly developed to become one of the leading figures in the shoe production and marketing. Today CALZATURIFICIO MARITAN produces and distributes their own brands in addition to Italian and International brands, famous for their style and for the high quality they pursue.
