Company introductionIt is a state-owned enterprise with controlling shares in ChinaNational Salt Industry Corporation and participating shares inAnhui Salt Industry General Corporation and Dingyuan Salt Mine inAnhui Province. It is the only national designated productionenterprise of salt in Anhui Province and one of the export bases ofsalt in China.It is a "Provincial Civilized Unit" and anational-level enterprise of "highlighting contracts and keepingpromises". The company abounds with the resource of rock salt whosereserves exceed 2 billion tons. The weighted average grade ofsodium chloride is 72.3%. It is recognized as a premium mine with"rich resources, concentrated ore body, shallow burial, and easyexploitation".The project at the first phase in the company was approved by theMinistry of Light Industry in February, 1987, and it is a keyproject in Anhui Province during the period of Seventh Five-yearPlan. The expansion project was completed in late December, 1998.Inrecent years, since the company adheres to the spirits ofmaintaining innovation and persisting in progress, its scale andcapacity constantly grow and improve. The company has alreadyformed an annual capacity of 500,000 tons of refined salt anddistributing 300,000 tons of fine packed salt. The project ofannual capacity of 600,000 tons of high-quality salt has started. Alarge-scale comprehensive enterprise with an annual capacity of 1.2million tons of products and distributing 500,000 tons of processedproducts and fine packed products in the sector of salt and saltchemical industry will be established.
