Here at Clearwater Algae, we would like to enlighten you on some exciting things that are happening within our company. We are currently one of the few companies that are growing chlorella in a greenhouse in the United States. We are using a self-contained loop bioreactor system to grow our special chlorella, unlike most companies that use giant open pounds to grow chlorella. The main problem with growing chlorella in giant open ponds is that you can't control the contaminates that the chlorella come into contact with, because of rain and runoff (heavy metals, pesticides, radiation, etc.).We take the strictest standards in growing our chlorella. Our greenhouse is climate controlled and the air is ULPA filtered. We currently have 240, 000 liters of living non cell wall broken chlorella. We could break the cell wall of the chlorella if needed.
