    • COTANTIK is born in 2003 as the solidary  expression of the talent of a group of artist and  artisans that create trough amber COTANTIK warranties  the excellent quality of  the amber used on the  pieces, its uniqueness  and authenticity.  (All pieces include their  respective certificate COTANTIK tries to  preserve traditions that  have been displaced by  modern industrial  production… its  extraction is completely  handmade. Throughout  its entire creation in  which art and nature  combine, the spiritual  becomes a definitive  fact. Amber is the 25 million  year old resin from the  millenary trees of guapinol  that came out from the  crust of branches and  trunks forming drops of  different sizes. These trees  bleed this substance to  protect themselves from  different insect plagues,  thats why some of these  insects are perfectly  preserved.
