Company Introduction
Founded in 1997 and with humble beginnings, Dabbousi International Company Limited has grown to be one of the renowned lumber producing and exporting companies in Ghana with customers covering the Arabian Gulf and the Middle East. Comfortably enough, we have the expertise to source and produce all specifications of any specie available in the Ghanaian Forests. We operate out of four Regions in Ghana, namely Western, Central, Eastern and Ashanti with the latter being our base for most transactions. Forest guards are, constantly, sourcing healthy trees that are felled by our Dolmar operators, who work with a rich experience, to minimise waste and allow for maximum utilisation of all trees felled. The CAT bulldozers and skidders avoid excessive damage to the flora and fauna in the process of extraction of the logs to the loading stations where the bush tractors load the trucks for conveyance to the specific mills. Our quality controllers supervise the milling and other processes of production and drying, which are done to international standards. For the purpose of drying, we have placed a kiln drying expert who dries the lumber to 10-12% moisture content and makes sure that minimum damage is done to the lumber in the process. Nothing is left to chance, from entering the forests to exiting, every step is calculated in order that we minimize any negative effect on the environment and, hence, our livelihood. A conscientious effort is, constantly, being made to shift our operations around in order to save species and give the ecosystem enough time to rebuild the severed links in its chain. We have now tapped the coffee and agro produce markets, offering high quality coffee beans and grains. We hope to grow in this business and move in parallel with that of the timber.Dabbousi international Company Limited has a program of reinvesting in society for the welfare of all. For this reason we dedicate 2.5% of the income from each container exported in order to meet our social obligations. This comes in the form of sponsoring the education of the underprivileged, girls and boys alike, as well as extending water and electricity supplies to remote villages. .
