Being Filipino Martial Artists ourselves we faced the difficulties in purchasing high quality sticks adequate for training. Many of the tested sticks were of short endurance or they even slivered, what possibly might cause dangerous injuries of the eyes. Others were simply too expensive.Finally it happened during a training stay in Manila, capitol of the Philippines, that the idea of an import company was born. Local traders offer handmade sticks on turbulent marketplaces and small shops in the city centre, - an convincing proof for the popularity of the Filipino Martial Arts in their country of origin.
