Incorporated in April 1999 Global Rug Company was started by Mr Gaurav Dubey who is a chemical engineer by education. Global Rug Company is situated in small town named Bhadohi in Uttar Pradesh which is a leading Carpet producing town and is many a time referred as the carpet capital of India. Starting with one quality and four looms and a small shed to work forGlobal Rug Company has come a long way the Factory and head office situated in Mehboobpur-Bhadohi is approximately 35000 sq feet of area in which storage of raw material, finishing, packing, showroom, inspection areas are situated, The company also engages more the 400 weavers and artisans directly or indirectly to get there carpet woven, finished or packed in most of the case majority of the work takes place in-house to have a strict control over the quality. Also the outsourced process are under very strict quality control. Mrs. Sonu Dubey (PhD in sonochemistry) wife of Mr Gaurav Dubey is the Quality Head of the Company and looks after the quality maintenance aspect of the company. The Company Started Following the ISO 9001: 2000 quality standards from December 2006 and an audit was conducted on 24th July 2007 by SGS UK Ltd and the company was granted the ISO 9001: 2000 quality standards Certificate: which was a proud moment for all of us at Global Rug Company.
