It also includes scalable ECG function (x2).Dailycare is especially useful for the opportunistic screening of atrial fibrillation (AF) in initial care. AF affects approximately 5 per cent of people over the age of 65 years. The risk of serious outcomes, such as stroke, can be reduced by treatment, thus making the diagnosis of AF is important in initial detection.Dailycare is suitable for use by patients at home who may have intermittent arrhythmias that do not present in surgery after a 12 lead ECG, for opportunistic screening of AF and for long term cardiac evaluation to monitor the effectiveness of anti-arrhythmic drugs.The device can also be used as a non-invasive device if patients refuse to have an implantable event recorder. However, it is a monitoring device only and is not designed or intended to replace a medical diagnosis from a qualified medical professional.This device should not be used with a cardiac pacemaker or defibrillator.
