Green Soils (Pvt) Ltd. Was formed in 1991 and is a leading manufacturer and exporter of coir pith products which is the best 100% natural growing media discovered so far. It operates in two locations in Sri Lanka; the manufacturing is done at the factory in Natandiya and the marketing along with its administration is done at the head office in Colombo. Since 1991, a systematic research and development scheme was introduced to Green soils and it helped to improve the quality of the products manufactured. Thus, the coir fibre pith market was expanded, increasing the number of new value added products to the product range. Green Soils cater to the professional horticulture market around the world and is a member of, Coir Association UK, Roses Inc USA and Canada, Ohio Florists Association USA, member of international Erosion Control Association. Our range of products include briquettes (expanding by 8 times) , 5 KG bales, 4 Cu ft loosely compressed bags, Grow Bags, Coco chips, Coco discs, Geotextiles and Cocopoles. The coir pith material supplied could start from a fine dust (suitable for nurseries) to a very course material made from crushed virgin coconut husk (for industrial growing) . Most of the products are meant for bulk usage in agriculture and horticulture, in professional applications, and hydroponic cultivation, seedling nursaries, mushroom growing and we do cater for the home garden sector as well. Grow Bags in particular are for green house crops such as tomatoes, capsicums, cucumber, lettuces, strawberries, roses etc. We offer complete growth solutions for any type of plant. For all shipments, raw material are selected and carefully scrutinised. Regular tests and analysis of coir pith are carried out to ensure required quality, in our fully equipped laboratory. Physical and chemical parameters of raw material is analysed at various stages of raw material processing and during production. Such analysis is a standard at every hour interval during production. .
