Company Introduction
The history of our company begin in 1895, when the old Hacienda La Capilla was built by Don Antonio Faustino de Aceves and Casillas family, he was the founder of Capilla de Guadalupe in 1820. The town got its name from the chapel Don Antonio built in honor of the virgin of Guadalupe. The Hacienda has always the growing of agave as a principal activity, and this fine agave has benefited from the good condition of Capilla de Guadalupe, town that is resting on the shade of Cerro Gordo in the heart of Jalisco Highs.Don Antonio was a hard working man and a passionate promoter of quality. His descendents took advantage of th local farming of agave and formally started the company Hacienda La Capilla S.A. de C.V. in the year of 1993.In the year of 1995 Hacienda La Capilla S.A. de C.V., because of the quality of their products, crossed the borders and started exporting to other countries, especially to the United States. In the year of 2003, The Mexican Academy of Tequila in their annual tequila taste, in the months of February and November, recognized the quality of one of our tequilas, El Amo Reposado, and in August of the same year the Tequila La Capilla Silver and Reposado, received the same recognition within its category.
