Knitted and Woven Fabrics made from Lopil absorb dyestuff faster compared to ring fabrics. When both fabrics are dyed in the same dyed bath for the same period of time. Lopil fabrics get dyed into a darker shade. This is due to the hollow core structure of the yarn. which allows better absorption and fixation of the dyestuff. As a results of the time saved due to rapid color absorption, Lopil yarn saves knitters and weavers 4-7% in dyeing cost. A dyeing plant with a capacity of 10 tons/day can save approximately USD 60,000 to 90000 a year when using Lopil fabrics instead of ring fabrics.
