O2 removal to 1ppb and co2 removal to 1ppm in the semiconductor, power, pharmaceutical, medical/analytical, beverage and other industries are common applications. O2, for example, is corrosive and negatively impacts many processes. Co2 negatively impacts performance of edi and ion exchange. The contactors are designed to tolerate high pressures/temperatures and they process flow rates from <10 ml/min to hundreds of m3/HR.They are used extensively in boiler feedwater degassing to prevent boiler corrosion without chemical addition. They also have a positive impact on yields in high-purity degassing applications. They are manufactured by membrana, a market leader in separation technology, which excels in the development/fabrication of specialty membrane products.Superphobic contactors are widely used for removing bubbles and dissolved gases from ink jet inks, coatings and other fluids where gasses in production lines negatively impact the process.Removing gasses from liquids can significantly improve yields and operational performance by reducing imperfections and preventing misfiring at the ink jet print head. Superphobic contactors are also used for degassing developer solutions, emulsions, and photographic coating solutions for papers, films and printing plates.
