Our unique and secret process for creating Mile High Hot Sauce started in 1990. I began with a half dozen pepper plants in our backyard garden. This made 30-40 bottles a year. We were so delighted with the results of this creation that in 1995, I moved the "farm" to the local airport for more space. I was now in the best of all worlds. Hanging around and flying some really neat airplanes and at the same time, growing jalapenos and making the best hot sauce I ever ate! Since we were putting up several hundred bottles a year and mostly giving it away, we were then getting a lot of agreement from many others about just how good Mile High really was. I kept good records on just about every aspect of this hot sauce operation and when the clamor to go commercial overwhelmed us in 2002; we pulled the chocks and smoked off.
