Moamboc Mariculture is a family-owned coastalsea farm that was established in 2014 which cultures seaweedsvariety and high value marine fishes by the coastal sea waters ofMoamboc Island, Bantayan of Cebu province. We are a start-up mariculturecompany with 5 hard working, round-the-clock villagers; yetour vision is to expand into big scale production in thefuture.We have startedculturing Euchema Cottonii seaweeds variety in 2014 that startedfrom 0.5 hectare up to 2 hectares now and still expanding. Our culture period is between 45 to 60 days with 10x growthrate, on average, from seedlings stocks to harvesting.  Ourproduction volume is estimated at 1-2 metric tons per week andstill increasing.In 2015, we have started venturinginto growing out high value marine fishes such as Grouper, RedSnapper and Rabbitfish.  These are being caught from the wildin nearby mangrove areas by the island villagers. It is then beinggrown out in to floating cages that is being feed with combinationof trash fishes and commercial feeds.
