With its experiences in Turkish Agriculture sector over 25 years, Me-Tan Seed serves in seed R&D, breeding, cooperates in state University and private sector relations, and related briefing meetings besides its production seeds with high quality standards.Within the framework of restructuring efforts since 2000, Me-Tan Seed was named as "private investigator&＃39;s organization" making the necessary investments in 2005. Thereafter, Me-Tan Seed, within the framework of restructuring plans in 2010, was named as "MTN Seed" and has engaged in a revision operation as a corporate identity and to improve the quality of service.The production of onion seeds is the product of the company&＃39;s locomotives among the seed varieties produced by MTN. The other products are watercress, arugula, dill, melon and watermelon. In particular providing wide range of variety seeds in onion accommodates the needs and demands of producers for their individual condition among the alternatives available. Although there are 11 types of onion seeds of our company registered in 2011 it has been continuing in research and development to add new types to its portfolio.MTN seed is working to provide superior seeds to producers and to ultimate consumers in primarily onion seeds and all other major seed breeding programs, innovative products and R&D. MTN seed production center is Located in Cepni village 14 km away from the town of Bandirma, Balikesir. MTN seed production area is one of best seed production areas in the world. Seed production is carried out in about 3000 square meters field.Climate in the region is very suitable for efficient and healthy seed production. Seed production is carried in slightly sloping and undulating fields partly peneplain type soils on the northern shores of Lake Manyas. Firm possessing production advantages are the retained isolation distance required and prevailing northeastern winds providing a good air circulation hence reducing chance of disease infestation risks.MTN seed is one of the Turkey&＃39;s seed production professionals in onion seed production.
