NAVYUG" Brand Chill Rolls are double- poured, clear chill, Barrelshardness on the outer surface is 70° to 83° at shore hardnesstowards the bore is kept low. Special alloys are added to attainhigh tensile strength to guard against cracking of the barrel undernormal working stresses. Any chill depth upto 23rd of the thicknessof the wall can be ***** ideal chill depths relevant to the outerdia and the size of the bore, we however claim that "YOU WILL NEVERHAVE TO GIVE UP OUR BARRELS FOR WANT OF CHILL DEPTH. Nickelchromium and molydenum are added to make the rolls long-lastantresistant to wear and heat cracks. The outer chilled hard,fine-grained zone gives excellent finish to the end product.Through our special technique of casting, we have eleminated anychance of pin-points, below holes or porousity. The barrels arefitted with steel shafts which can stands much higher stresses,compared to iron rolls casted with shafts which have a greattendency to back at the neck.
