Company Introduction
Organic Eden virgincoconut oil is made on coastal province of Kenya. We moved to the Coastprovince of Kenya mid 1996. One thing that intrigued me was thatthe older generation was very active, often still farming, and yettheir only dietary oil was coconut oil, often handmade thetraditional way. This led me to investigate the whole issue of fatsand oils. I soon discovered that coconut oil had a long traditionof being healthy oil.Coconut farmers couldno longer support their families on the income generated fromharvesting coconuts.Eden Organic Farmswas started and designed to improve the livelihoods of localcommunity. The coconut project is producing a livelihood forfamilies to enable them to remain at home and earn a regular incomewhilst also employing other villagers and sustaining family cashneeds.
