Prasid Pashmina Industry manufactures Cashmere (Pashmina) Woven and Knitted products Shawls, Scarves, Stoles, Ponchos, Mufflers, Throws, Blankets, Bags, etc. of various sizes, qualities and colours. We have our own manufacturing facilities for Knitted Cardigans, Sweaters, Caps, Gloves, Hats, Ponchos, Twin Set, Collar Neck, V-Neck, Key-Hole Neck, Round Neck, Turtle Neck, Hi-Neck etc. in various knitting styles such as plain, cable, net, etc. The designs are available in various ply yarn such as 100% Cashmere, Cashmere / Silk, Cashmere / Bamboo, Cashmere / Wool, Cashmere / Cotton, 100% Wool, 100% Cotton, 100% Silk, Wool / Katan Silk, etc. We have our own factories and are doing Knitwear production on Hand Flat Knitting Machines. Prasid Pashmina Industry encourages employment of marginalized families in its production and particularly emphasis for the active participation of women for their economic upliftment. We also do additional work on our Cashmere (Pashmina) products other than normal plain solid dyeing, such as Hand Embroidery work, Glass Beading work, Block (Screen) Printing work, Shaded (Ombra) work, Reversible (Two-Faced Two Tone) work, Jacquard designs, etc. The additional cost for each design varies depending on the intricacy of the work to be done and we can quote you the prices once you have decided on the style required. We can send the pictures in different styles and colour chart on your request. PASHMINA, (better known to the Western World as CASHMERE WOOL), also known as the "diamond fibre" and the "Soft Gold of Asia", is the finest, softest and warmest wool found in nature, which comes from the underbelly of Capra Hircus goat (Ibex), found in the remote regions of the Himalayas at about 14,000 feet above sea level. The goat grows a thin inner coat of hair that insulates them during the long harsh winters of Himalayas, which is used to produce CASHMERE (PASHMINA). The size of Cashmere (Pashmina) fibre is 1/6th the diameter of human hair. Every summer herders collect the under-fur from the goats and after cleaning and spinning, Cashmere (Pashmina) yarn is produced. From one goat, only 4-8 ounces of Cashmere (Pashmina) can be produced in a year, as such annual growth of three goats is required to produce one Cashmere (Pashmina) shawl.
