I am an intermediary who acts on behalf of an Exporter to open up or develop a market in foreign countries.My relationship is appropriate where the Exporter is seeking to offer its products broadly in a foreign market. This relationship is also most fitting for a product line which involves smaller individual transactions.If I believe the Exporters goods or services have a good export potential, and the likely transaction type is appropriate, I will discuss a planned course of activities with the Exporter, designed to find the most appropriate Buyers in the right countries. Prior to entering into an Export Agency Agreement with the Exporter, I will negotiate my fee with the Exporter. In most cases my fee will be based on a commission. Upon commencement of the �xport Brokerage Agreement�(contract), I will use my extensive network of contacts to aggressively promote your product line through representatives in the destination countries.My role in resulting export transactions are typically; contracts are entered into between the Exporter and the Buyer; I am not generally a party this transaction. However, as Agent for the Exporter, I will negotiate all aspects of the sales, including payment/financing, pricing, delivery, post-sale service, shipping, etc.Should the Exporter desire, I will provide Export Management services to assist the shipper with documents, inland and overseas transportation, export licensing matters, and the like.
