We sell only the saffron stigma. We have sold what we believed was good quality saffron .And as always, everything in the ounce, half ounce, five and two gram containers we sell is 100% pure saffron . There may be a little yellow or white on the threads ,to show that it hasnt been tinted, but it is a very short portion, because the threads (style) need to be cut to breath out; however there are no other plant parts mixed in with the red threads (stigma), of the saffron crocus plant. This is the only part of the saffron crocus, which produces the saffron, the red stigmas. The way saffron-grading works is that the lower grades have more style left attached to the stigma. .We know that when it comes to saffron, you want both quality and value in SAFFRON. The general range of saffron coloring strength could be from 110-250+. Our saffron has a range of minimum of 230 to 280 degrees of color. The coloring strength should be clearly printed on the packing according to ISO. Our SARGOL saffron does not contain any other part of the saffron plant, except the pure red stigmas, which contain ALL of the spices aroma, flavor and natural color . Without a doubt we sell the best saffron in IRAN. We do this by demanding from the saffron cooperative in Iran that our Sargol Saffron meets our strict specifications which are:ISO standard 3632 for Category 1 Saffron Our coloring strength must be minimum 230 to 250 Our saffron threads are 3/8 to 1/2 in length.We only use the part of the stigma that has saffron. As a result, our saffron is free of any impurities.
