Our products can be seen gleaming in the show ring as well as preventing rain rot on a retired backyard horse. In 1938, Henry E. Shapley, a barber from Waterloo, Iowa formulated a product for his customers with dandruff and psoriasis. As horse lovers do, Henry soon discovered this product worked well for skin problems on his horses, as well as mane and tail growth. This became his first creation, a faithful product known as Original M-T-G (Mane-Tail-Groom). Shapley's has grown into an organization providing an inventive line of grooming products.In addition to Original M-T-G, Shapley's has many unique and multi-purpose products to offer horse owners. EquiTone Color Enhancing Shampoos, Magic Sheen and Hi Gloss have been receiving great reviews and exposure from national publications and were top picks by the Horse Journal last year.
