    Spectra Vista Corporation (SVC) is a world leader in the design and manufacture of remote sensing portable spectroradiometers and airborne hyperspectral sensors. Svc manufactures and services GER 1500, GER 2600, GER 3700 and the brand new SVC HR 1024 portable spectroradiometers. These spectroradiometers are used to measure spectral characteristics of a variety of mineral, plant, water (includingunderwater) , tree and other ground and water surfaces. Svc airborne sensors, giving co-registered pixels for vis / nir, swir and lwir (infrared and thermal) cover the entire light spectrum through a single aperture. Hyperspectral, visual and thermal maps are used for a variety of environmental evaluation, mineral exploration, water and oceangraphic studies, agricultural yield, forest studies, land monitoring, and a number of other remote sensing applications. Svc manufactures airborne sensors for its customers, and also conducts surveys of land and water areas (riverslakes, or oceans) with its own aircraft and 80 channel airborne sensor. Svc portable and airborne hyperspectral sensors play an important role in the monitoring and surveillance of the amazon rain forest in Brazil (recognized worldwide as the SIVAM program with Raytheon Corporation as the prime contractor) .
