Company Introduction

The Travancore Cements Ltd., was incorporated as a Public Limited Company in the year 1946 and started commercial production in the year 1949 by adopting Wet Process Technology. The company which was manufacturing Grey Cement, diversified to produce white cement in 1959.Till 1974 both Grey and White Cement were manufactured in the same plant distributing production of the two for certain specific period. From 1975 the company manufactures only White Cement. The installed capacity of White Cement plant is 30,000 Tons/annum as specified by M/s. F.L. Smidth & Company who were the equipment suppliers and collaborators for both Grey Cement and White Cement plants. By local innovations the capacity of the plant was increased to 40,000 Tons.
