Joint Stock Company &＃8220;Uzbektelecom&＃8221; is a leading telecommunication operator of the Republic of Uzbekistan which provides a wide spectrum of communication services to population and organizations. We operate with two thousand telephone exchanges in urban and rural areas of the country and provide 1.6 million subscribers with local, long-distance and international telephone services , data communication services , including Internet. 33% of capacity are digital exchanges. The total length of international, long-distance and within-zone channels amounts to 11856 thousand channel - kilometers, including fiber &＃8211; optical lines of communications, which make up 5303 thousand channel &＃8211; kilometers, radio &＃8211; relay links, which make up 1071 thousand channel &＃8211; kilometers, air lines of communication, which amount to 56 thousand channel &＃8211; kilometers, cable lines of communication (copper), amounting to 3423 thousand channel kilometers and satellite channels &＃8211; 2003 thousand channel &＃8211; kilometers. The Company consists of 18 branches ,14 of them are regional, 4 are specialized. At the same time the Company owns the stakes in 5 joint ventures and 1 joint stock company.Within the framework of &＃8220;National program of development and reconstruction of telecommunications of Uzbekistan&＃8221; the Company applies advanced telecommunication technologies, attracts foreign companies and financial resources of foreign partners and international institutions.
