Representatives from around the world are competitively warming of the tremendous disaster from the environmental issues. A part of the warning is directed to the food garbage. The amount of discarded food waste in Korea these days is enormous indeed. If we convert it into money, we can estimate it will amount to a multi-trillion won. In the past, such a large amount of food garbage used to be buried in the ground, however such landfill has been prohibited since 2005. In addition, even the recommendation of the central government to make a more expensive treatment cost charged for the mandatory treatment of food garbage than before was introduced, which is effective from the second half of 2010. With this indication, we expect that the food garbage disposal cost will be determined by a powerful law and the cost itself also will be significantly expensive as the other advanced countries.Under these circumstances, we developed a new concept of microwave food processing technology with which we can improve such environmental and legal issues at the same time so that we can fundamentally cope with the environmental problems caused by the food garbage problems.We, BST Korea, will do our best to create the pleasant environment also in the coming future.
