Company Introduction
Our company was created in1996 to enter the cochineal business. This business was not successful, so the company decided to plant jojoba. We have 80 has. of jojoba plants in the heart of the Elqui Valley, located next to the city of La Serena, about 500 km. to the north of Chile&＃39;s capital, Santiago. The climate and agroclimatological conditions are ideal for jojoba, and we have 13 has. with 5 year old plants, 21 has. with 4 year old plants and the rest, with 3 year old plants. We believe that the location will allow us to mantain a constant offer of our product in the market. We are in the position to offer our jojoba oil, which is extracted cold, by vertical press, so no temperature can affect the oil characteristics. It&＃39;s ideal to be used as an end product applied directly to the skin or scalp, for hair treatment or for massage. The extraction process has an inbuilt first filtering system, that is followed by a period of 1 to 2 weeks for natural decanting of any solid particles. After this, the oil is then re-filtered by gravity through very fine filter material to be stored in high density plastic 17 KG. and 55 KG. drums. We can offer our oil in these two options. Also, we can offer dry jojoba seed as from next season, since our current production is already sold. Still, we are pliant to receive offers and be tempted to do spot sales in 20 feet FCL quantities.
