Recent development of modern communications technology is basically based upon GaAs.GaAs is now showing its great leap in every modern industrial fields, after swallowing so huge investment, endeavors and dreams for almost 40 years.With the rapid expansion of application fields, such a horrible experience as worldwide shortage situation of GaAs substrate wafers was still vivid to related device manufacturers in year 2000.This anomalous feature is basically due to the unbalance situation in supply and demand of GaAs substrate wafers in the world market. There are only less than 10 companies producing merchant GaAs substrates in the world, whereas their world customers are more than 200 companies. In this sense, the current supply situation of GaAs substrate wafers can be regarded as monopoly or oligopoly to customers.Even more, some major substrate companies have been continuously advancing into related component products as well, on the basis of substrate production, thus resulting in gradual encroachment of their customers&＃39; business areas.Under this current circumstances, Neosemitech was founded in order to supply the GaAs as the specialized company in substrate wafers at more competitive conditions in every respect.Regarding our technology, both VGF, LE-VB and LEC techniques are applied for the crystal growth of GaAs.
