Sungdong Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. is located in Anjeong National Industrial Complex in Gwangdo-myeon, Tongyeong City, on the inner side of Jinhae Bay. At the southernmost end of the Korean peninsula, it is the ideal location for shipbuilding. Our focus is on the niche market between super-large shipyards and medium & small shipyards. We are equipped with the most sophisticated facilities befitting the status of Korea&＃39;s advanced shipbuilding industry and introduced proven new engineering methods that allow us to compete with both domestic and Japanese companies. Moreover, with our proprietary standard model design, we can guarantee maximum satisfaction based on quality and reliability.I think it is more accurate to say, "We compile ships" rather than "We build ships." One of the most fundamental technologies in shipbuilding is welding. We developed our welding technology in coordination with all the research institutes at shipbuilding companies in the nation. Shipowners around the world have acknowledged our technologies for manufacturing instruments, prow, stern, engine room and body for super-large ships as the best. In addition, the most advanced facilities such as super-large 900-ton crane are one of the advantages of being a latecomer. Based on such advantages, we concentrate on generating corporate profit and securing superior competitiveness. The Tongyeong area has more than 80 days rainfall annually. We have therefore maximized in-house production. However, as we are located in an inner bay in the southern sea, winter production is possible without separate heating facilities when sheltered from the wind.
