Ilim Timber is one of the most efficientlarge-scale sawn timber producers in theworld. Ilim Timber production facilities arelocated in North-West Russia and Eastern Siberia, in Southern andNorthern Germany. The company has offices in European Unionand China.Ilim Timber has a unique global production and distributionplatform with strong presence on all major softwood sawn timbermarkets including Europe, MENA, US, China and South-East Asia.The total annual capacity amounts to 2 million 650 thousandm3 of sawn timber and 240 thousand m3 ofplywood.The company is Russia’s major producer of larch sawn timber andbiggest single exporter of sawn timber to China.The company was established in 2007 as a spin-off of thewoodworking assets from the biggest Russian verticallyintegrated company Ilim Pulp during the formation of joint venturewith International Paper.In 2010-2011 Ilim Timber grew up through mergers and acquisitionsof sawmill assets in Germany and USA becoming one of the worldtop-10 sawn timber producers.In 2014 Ilim Timber becomes a significant shareholder in thefastest growing Canadian company International ForestProducts Limited (Interfor), developing jointmarketing initiatives on global markets.Ilim Timber has its own forest resources in Russia and long-termcontracts with strategic suppliers in all regions. The majorspecies used for production are Angara pine, Siberian larch, Germanspruce and northern softwood from the Baltic Sea Region.The total headcount of the company is about 3000people.
